There is a point in a sheltered child's life when they have to begin to make the break from board books to paper books. Board books weren't always in existence and regular books survived small tearing hands. But just like all good movies are sold as videos, these days you can find some fine books in this form. So making the break into grown-up reading may be even more difficult than before.
