Jewish Book Week is on the calendar again. This is just a little early reminder for what's in store. The massive sell out names like Francesca Simon , Anthony Horowitz and Michael Rosen are not on the list this year. But Jacqueline Wilson's A Brief History of Children's Diaries, is bound to book up quickly. The print version of the Jewish Book Schedule seems to have beaten the on-line version. But I am sure that any day now the website will be available for use. I, on behalf of my children, am up for talk listed as The Joe Craig Show. Shamefully, I have not heard of him but the Jewish Book Week booklet tells me he is up there with Horowitz and Higson (young James Bond) as the "best spy kids authors...for his Jimmy Coates series). Now that I have found a link to his website, I realize that I must go to see him live. He looks too young to have written a series of anything but poems. He is very handsome in a very Jewish way!
The Southbank Centre is also have a literary week of events in February, Imagine 08. Michael Rosen, Eion Culfer and Jeremy Strong, among others, will be there.
